The VDub Club of Walhalla, S.C. has decided to gear up for a cross-country fund raiser mission in the summer of 2014. We have started "The Super-Trike" build, which will be leading the pack. We are currently looking for sponsors, volunteers, and participants for this venture. This trike was inspired by "the van man" in south Florida in the late 70's. Since then I haven't seen another one similar to it. We are dedicating it to all Armed Forces of the United States through the "Wounded Warrior Project". There is nothing more important to America than the troops who sacrafice it all for our country to ensure our freedom. Many of our troops come home wounded, physically and mentally, and they all need our help to heal. The Wounded Warrior Project is dedicated to the healing of those troops.
My family and I have been Volkswagen enthuseists for many years and love re-building vintage VW's! Supporting America's troops is also very important to us. We know that we can't do this alone, so we are reaching out to all VW clubs, retailers, and friends to help us reach our goal. We have set the ride for summer of 2014 to give us the time to make this into the largest VW ride in America!!! Our sole purpose is to raise money for our troops and have fun! Our plans are to begin on the east coast, maybe in Wilmington, SC or Myrtle Beach, and head west across the country until we hit San Diego, Ca. There will be several stops along the way (Updates of stopping points will come later). we hope to get all local clubs /organizations involved at each stopping point and hold a Super-Show BB-Q to raise funds for our troops.
Come in and look around! Enjoy our pictures of the build and keep in touch with us. Please sign our guest book and leave contact info to receive updates on the build and project. If you would like to get involved personally let us know through e-mail at supertrike1@aol.com. Or you can leave a message here on our guest book. Thanks for looking ... Alex, Heather, Krystal, and Cecilia Kokay.
